The 2023 Fine Sake Awards – Evaluating Sake Through a Wineglass
As Japanese Sake spread through out the world, it encountered many new cuisines and cultures. One of these encounters was the wineglass. In hopes to develop and expand sake’s recognition and culture, we entered this specific contest where experts blindly evaluate not just the sake’s quality but the specific charm of drinking sake in a wineglass.

This year marks the 13th iteration of these awards, and 276 breweries entered 1054 types of sake. There were a total of 55 Grand Gold Medals awarded and 264 Gold Medals awarded.
