■ About the World Sakagura Ranking
The World Sakagura Ranking converts the annual results of worldwide sake contests into a point system and ranks the top 50 breweries based on their total score.
In 2025, there were 698 sake breweries eligible to be ranked, with a total of 3415 sake submissions to contests. Thus, sake breweries without participation in contests are ineligible for this ranking.
Unlike a popularity contest, the ranking is determined based on blind tasting evaluations by professionals, serving as a guide for those selecting high-quality sake.
