The Eruboshi certification is granted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare under the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, which came into effect in 2016.
It is awarded to companies that actively promote the advancement of women’s careers in the workplace, based on a comprehensive evaluation of five key criteria: fairness in recruitment, ease of continued employment, flexibility in working hours and styles, promotion to managerial positions, and opportunities for diverse career development.
